Trading Up

Chris, Charlie and I traded hot and humid Boston for hot and humid Delray Beach, FL -- but, it was definitely a trade up as we spent the long weekend with my parents Dave and Sue, and brother Chris. We had an excellent time ooh and aahing at Dave & Sue's new house, hearing all about Chris's new job and apartment, splashing in the pool, walking into town, eating and drinking a lot, and visiting a very cool zoo. Oh, and the beach. Charlie is definitely a beach bum in training, but more on that in another post.

There were fun toys at Grammy and Grandpa's house, including these bath ducks that Charlie took a shine to.


Charlie proved she had no fear of the water -- putting her face in, kicking like a little fish, and more than once pushing herself off the step to try and "swim" to us.


Charlie's newest crush...her Uncle Chris. Anytime we suggested to her that we do something, she'd ask "Uncle Chris too?"


Dave and Sue's kids wait patiently for cocktail hour to begin.

It was hot in the sun, but cool in the shade with Grammy and Grandpa - Charlie can't wait for the next visit!
