First stop -- Duckfat to sample their famous duck fat french fries. Charlie and Chris prepared a haiku with poetry magnets while waiting for our food.
The fries - with a side of truffle ketchup. Holy moly good.
After a swim at the hotel and a failed nap, our second stop was Hadlock Field for the Sea Dogs game. Charlie fell asleep in the car and remained asleep even as we walked three blocks to the stadium, found our seats, and got our first beers.
Awake and ready to cheer!
While Chris and Charlie posed with the team's mascot, a fight broke out in the game leaving us to curse ourselves for leaving early.
Stop 3: Sunday morning breakfast at Artemisia Cafe. No beer at this meal just fresh squeezed orange juice and an order of amazing graham cracker french toast.
On our way home we hit Stop 4 - the beach at Kennebunkport. No sightings of George and Barbara Bush. Charlie loved the very cold Maine ocean.
The Final Stop - lunch at Bartley's. The real New England deal - a killer lobster roll (and beer).
More beer...
Charlie digs in with gusto.
And as a special Father's Day treat, Charlie picked up the tab.
