Take me out to [eat at] the ballgame

It was baseball and more baseball this weekend. First, Futures at Fenway at Fenway Park on Saturday followed by a trip to Lowell, MA to see the Lowell Spinners on Sunday. That's a whole lot of baseball for one nearly-four year old, but with hot dogs, giant pretzels, and copious quantities of cotton candy, Charlie was pretty happy.

Fenway - it was my first trip, and it's as beautiful as everyone says (but, still does not hold a candle to Wrigley). Charlie didn't see all that much of it what with the giant pillar in her sightline, but since she was primarily focused on food, I don't think she minded all that much.

The famous Green Monster
1st: Pretzel
2nd: Hot dog (And, yes, that IS ketchup on Charlie's hot dog. I can report that Sunday's hot dog had ketchup and mustard...while we're years away from adding banana peppers, we're slowly inching toward the proper hog dog preparation.)
Lastly: Cotton candy
The damned obstruction

A different day, the same hat, but this time we're in Lowell.
Following Sunday afternoon games at LeLacheur Park, the kids (and their parents, if necessary) are invited to run the bases. After hitting all four bags, Chris was winded, and Charlie was beaming.

Heading to 1st and the goofy mascot.
Rounding 2nd and heading for 3rd.
Stomping on 3rd Base.
Headed for Home. Go, Charlie! Go!
