Quite a Saturday! Charlie had her dance recital, and as usual, she was gorgeous and danced beautifully. As far as she is concerned, Charlie is hanging up her ballet slippers in favor of a less "girly" form of dance. Perhaps next year we will be posting pictures of her in her Hip Hop recital costume. Sigh... I will miss ballet even if she won't.
Juliet was awesome at the recital - sat on my lap, and at least for the first nine acts, she sat riveted listening to the music and watching the dancers. We have always thought that Charlie had an abnormal attention span for her age - perhaps Juliet will be the same.
As soon as Juliet woke up from her afternoon nap, we headed to the Kent/Yednaks to celebrate Crystal and the publishing of her first book! Yes, book! If you live or travel in Illinois, you should get your own copy of the Explorer's Guide Illinois!
While Charlie and Alice sequestered themselves in a back bedroom to play, Juliet was out and about hanging with a variety of kids.
