Once again, we are thrilled and impressed with Charlie's school. We are so incredibly lucky that Charlie is getting such a fantastic PUBLIC! education. The curriculum showcase allows the students to present to their parents a unit of integrated study. Last year was trees, this year it was weather. Charlie's teachers take an integrated approach to this unit -- they studied weather in math (graphing), reading and literature (poems and personal stories about weather), science (experiments demonstrating air pressure, water pressure, and the water cycle), and art (song and pantomime, painting and drawing).
