Rain, rain, go away!

Greetings from the Great Medford Flood of 2006. If you've been watching the news, you know that the Boston area has been hit pretty bad with rain -- it has been raining since last Tuesday. Oof. Chris and Charlie are smiling in this photograph because when it was taken our basement was still dry. A few hours later that was no longer the case. Since about 5 pm on Sunday, we've been pumping water out of our basement every two hours along with a change of towels and rugs. It's ridiculous. Our dryer has been running nonstop. The weather reports call for, what else, more rain. Wish us luck - particularly me as Chris heads to Chicago and I battle this thing solo.
