1st: joint birthday with her Papa. dessert: red velvet cake with blueberries, raspberries, and cream cheese frosting.
2nd: crafty friend party with Alice, Ginger and their mamas. dessert: white cupcakes with Swiss meringue butter cream frosting decorated to look like flowers.
3rd: celebration with Mommy and Daddy. dessert: Duncan Hines box cake carved to look like a sword. Frosted with can frosting and decorated by Charlie with huge quantities of sprinkles.
And why a sword cake? It all goes back to Charlie's total fascination with the "Legend of Zelda" video game series. In fact, the game also gave her the idea for what she wanted for her birthday present from us -- a harp!
