The blog title does not refer to our winter air; today actually wasn't too bad. To the uninitiated, ARTIC is the acronym for the Art Institute of Chicago. Charlie, Juliet and Alice and I took advantage of a day without school and went down for a little fun and art.
Both girls came armed with notepads and pencils for sketching. Here, they were inspired by Van Gogh's The Bedroom.
I told them to look like they were in Winslow Homer's American Gothic, thus the cranky faces.
Chris tasked Charlie with finding this painting -- Degas' The Star -- and posing in front of it.

And, finally, does anyone know where we submit our entry for World's Cutest Baby? Because we have it in the bag.
